My youngest daughter, in her 30s and mother to a couple of my grandchildren ... holds a PhD in Early Developmental Childhood Psychology and teaches the subject at two major universities in Florida .... one which is renowned in the discipline.

She's the one that sent me the link ... and even she calls bullshite on kids making that kind of decision at such an early age. She and I rarely agree on modern child rearing .... but she turned out okay, she admits that with gusto. She deals with various kids' problems all the time ... sexual stuff included. The kids don't get it at that young of an age.

My Daughter also co-authored a book on the subject.

And just for giggles and grins, I just hung up the phone with a very close friend of mine's wife out in Sun Valley. She is known as the Child Psychologist to the stars .... Hollywood types. List reads like the who's who ... and she too basically calls bullshite on this idea that these pre-adolescent children understand anything about the gender identity ... while adults are capable, if they know the signs, of recognizing the possibility in their children. Still, nothing can be known for sure until nearer puberty.

Take it FWIW .... but when those two basically tell me the same thing in their own intellectually superior snobby-assed ways .... I'm taking their words for it.
