Not only this, but all public universities have to have the same entrance requirements. When it was handed down, MSU and Ole Miss were at a 20 ACT and headed up.

Now, you can get in full admission at MSU and Ole Miss with a 14 ACT, and if you can't get a 14, you have to take a 9 week long summer course, which cannot be failed, in order to get in. And at least at MSU (not sure at Ole Miss), MSU has pledged that no Mississippian will be denied based on non-ability to pay.

Seriously a pulse will get you in. Its terrible.

No wonder the fricking retention rates are suffering.

Damn, y'all will admit anyone whether they can pay or not and the lowest entrance requirements possible. It's no wonder they can't handle college level courses and have to drop out.
