I can say with complete sincerity that an overwhelming majority of students in Texas don't want to leave.
Those who do typically do b/c they were unable to gain admittance to one of the best universities in the state.
That's not meant to be snarky, it's just the truth.
Nothing about our in-state numbers surprises me.
