They have been pushing the UH/Tech/UNT/UTSA/Tx State grouping to step up by dangling more funding if I remember right

And they have done a shitty job about making the improvements. They earned their reputation as not so great universities and haven't increased entrance requirements. They're getting the same lazy arse kids that couldn't get in to A&M and tu that they always have.
