His philosophy of west coast small ball hasn't translated well in the SEC. Plus at UC-Irvine and Cal State he just needed a tank of gas to recruit. We've also had some bad luck with injuries this season.

Also people don't realize how much Corbin's Vanderbilt program is strangling UT on in state recruiting. He has the midstate on lock down and is also snagging his fair share of elite East Tennessee players. We only have 12.8 schollys to work with, whereas Vandy has 30 full rides to give out each year through their financial aid. If Vandy wants a kid instate, they get him unless the kid grew up a UT fan dreaming of wearing orange. As much as I hate to admit it, Vanderbilt has found its niche in baseball and puts us on an uneven playing field in trying to compete with them in that sport.
