North Carolina only requires 300 precommitments to get approved unlike Alabama and Tennessee which require 1000 tags precommitments.

The NC campaign was successful by a wide margin. I've seen their tags all over Athens with numbers in the 800s, which means, if they only required 300 precommits, they got at least nearly 3x that amount.

Which leads to my next question. How come the Tennessee campaign only received 6 months to reach 1000 opposed to Alabama's one full year?

Because each State has different laws and rules governing specialty tags.

Actually no it was not successful they may have a lot of plates now. It took 3 separate attempts to get 300 people signed up for the North Carolina tag.The main reason they were only pitching it via email to UGA grads in North Carolina. the last time they did it through Facebook and that is how they got their number.
