Nah bro. Didn't you see? Pre-2000, national titles are all that matter, now.

Yale is the undisputed king of CFB, pre-2000 of course. LSU was barely decent.

You have to see the guys point though.

Wins Ranking in decade increments.

1940-1949
9. Alabama 66
22. LSU 57

1950-1959
38. LSU 55
55. Alabama 50

1960-1969
1. Alabama 90
7. LSU 76

1970-1979
1. Alabama 103
17. LSU 76

1980-1989
11. Alabama 85
29. LSU 70

1990-1999
14. Alabama 83
58. LSU 54

Average Ranking according to total wins per decade from 1940-1999
Alabama: 15th
LSU: 28th

2000-2009
6. LSU 99
71. Alabama 58

2010-2015
1. Alabama 72
10. LSU 61

Average ranking according to wins since 2000
LSU: 8th
Alabama: 40th

So yea, the guy has a point. From 1940-1999, Alabama led the nation in total wins in two different decades and had a top 15 average over the course of that time span.

LSU had an average of being 28th over that same time span, but since 1999, has won more games on average, than it did in any of its previous history.
