"Eli's fall" did secure Ole Miss that coveted SEC West Co-Championship.

OK, obviously trolling, but sure why not.

Maybe it is an age thing and a time and place thing, but Eli being stepped on hurts WAY worse to me. Here is why:

1. It was to freaking LSU, a somewhat rival.
2. We were the first team (*edit* from the West) EVER to go 7-1 and not go to Atlanta, that made it sting a little worse (still, we have a banner so....).
3. That was Eli's senior year and frankly we though he was our savior. The future seemed uncertain despite our hopes.
4. Our award winning kicker missed at least two field goals that night making us feel even more cheated by fate.
5. I was there in person with my damn LSU friend. We had to drive all the way back to Texas after the game. Pure torture. 4th and 25 I was at home.....drunk.
5. 4th and 25 was horrible, and it deserves it's place in history, BUT....we do not feel like that was our only chance. We still feel like we are building for the future. In short, we do not think we are going anywhere and we will continue to play for the West. Only history will tell, but that is why Eli hurts worse that 4th and 25.
