I have heard this whole "but...next year, but...next year, but next year" crap from both our baseball AND basketball programs for a very long time now.

It sounds like you might be too invested in college athletics. No matter the sport/program, new coaches have to build a team. Very, very few step in and immediately have success. You're just not being realistic
