11 SEC schools are ranked as R1: Doctoral Universities - Highest Research Activity. The other three are ranked R2.
The only thing holding us back from more of the research dollars is competing for them. SEC schools are growing rapidly and our academics are good and getting better. It's time to take the next step.

I know Auburn and Miss State are R2, who is the other one? Wait, is it Alabama?
