Yeah I went there for a week back in '03 with a huge family group. It was a lot of fun. Very chill beach destination.
My buddy from LSU told me every year they would go for spring break. Condo owners would rent out to college kids then call the cops and get them kicked out for drinking underage.

Most have policies you need to be at least 25
Spring break in GS used to consist of under 18 year olds hanging out in Alvins Island parking lot until about 9:30
