GS sells it self as a family destination not a college spring break party town. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. I'll say sense the advent of the condo. 1973?
A condo can be rented to a family of 4 much cheaper as far as overhead than to 4 frat boys which turns into a party for 40.

Just kidding about the Texas tags. And the AU stickers.
Sort of.

Yeah I went there for a week back in '03 with a huge family group. It was a lot of fun. Very chill beach destination.

My buddy from LSU told me every year they would go for spring break. Condo owners would rent out to college kids then call the cops and get them kicked out for drinking underage.
