Lets take MSU as a perfect example. Because our ball park is harder to get homers we typically recruit and don't mind small ball. It's a big advantage to our pitchers. It just so happened we had a recruiting class that can hit homers using the same bats you use. Right now Lsu has 12 homers and Msu 11. But again keep in mind how much harder it is to rip homers in our park. Is it possible the number of well hit balls would have left the park with old bats? You betcha. Maybe MSU finally has more gorilla ball with new inferior bats than Lsu?
