NCAA Brackets-Mizzou Outlook-March Madness

125-Barlow gets the #8 seed. About as expected. Should win first round pretty easy, but has a potential rematch of the MAC championship in the 2nd round with #9 Peters of UNI. If he gets that he gets Tomasello in the quarters. If he makes it to the quarters, he drops down and is in the rubber match to AA on the consolation side. Decent draw for Barlow. Maybe AA.
133-Synon unseeded but gets a really good draw of the #12 seed from Wisconsin. A kid who battle injury all year and his record shows it. Not expecting anything out of Synon, but he did get a good set up.
141- Manley gets the #5 seed, which I was happy about until I saw his draw. It is murderous. Draws Gulibon from Penn State who is unseeded. Returning AA who knows how to win in march. If he wins, he has #12 Mecate waiting in the next round. Then the potential quarter match with #4 Ashnault. If Manley is ready to roll, he can make the semi's and AA. But these are 3 returning All Americans in a row if he wants to get there. Sucks for Manley, but I think he can get to the podium. Maybe AA
149- Mayes gets really lucky with the #3 seed. Clear road the first 2 rounds before a potential matchup with #6 Tsirtsis in the quarters. Tsirtsis has struggled this year, and might be the time to catch him, although he is a returning Champ in 2014. The #2 in Sorenson of Iowa potentially in the semis. Pretty good draw for Mayes. Hopefully his head is ready to roll. Should AA.
157- Le'roy doesn't get a seed, but a decent draw in #5 Palacio. No expectations for Barnes, but wouldn't be surprised if he makes a run on the back side.
165- Lewis gets one of the best draws at the #4 seed. His quarter matchup would be #5 Rohskoph, who he beat at the dual handily. If Lewis were to get to the Semi's the worst he could do would be 6th, and a great success. Like the bracket set up for him. Should AA.
174- Blaise gets the #3 seed. A clear road to the quarters, where he will see either #6 Hammond (who beat him in Vegas) or #11 Martin. Both are tough, but I think Blaise will be ready. #2 seed is Realbuto, but he has a tougher quarter matchup. Blaise could actually make the finals if he is at the top of his game. Worst case, he loses the quarters and falls to a rubber match. I like him to All American either way.
184- Willie falls to #14 seed. #3 Avery waits in round 2, with #6 Stauffer (MO native) in the quarters if he makes it there. Willie will have to be ready to roll on the back side I think. Don't know what to expect.
197- J'den gets #2 as expected, and gets a favorable draw. 3 out of the 5 that can win the weight are on the other side, with J'den only having #3 Pfarr in the semis. Barring disaster, semi's is the bare minimum. I like J'den to win it. AA for sure.
So overall thoughts of their draws:
Barlow: Good. Not great, but good. If he does what he should, he should AA.
Synon: Great. May not do well, but his draw is excellent.
Manley: AWFUL. Terrible draw for him. 3 All Americans in a row if he wants to reach the Semi's.
Mayes: Good. Got a bit lucky the committee didn't crush him for late losses. Needs to step it up.
Barnes: Decent. Didn't draw an unbeatable 1st round, which is all you can ask for.
Lewis: Dream. Perfect draw for him to go to the semi's.
Butler: Great. Really good considering the overall weight.
Miklus: Poor. Can't blame the committee though, he fell where he deserved to be. Has to prove them wrong.
J'den: Dream. Only has to beat 2 of the 4 competitors instead of 3. I like it alot.

I'm not going to be able to watch at first. Is there an app or stat tracker that I can use to follow on my phone?

Barlow McGhee up first as far as I can tell at 125 vs. a guy from Wyoming.

3-seed Mayes wins 3-2 vs guy from Oklahoma.

Lewis with a pin 7-0. I assume that means some sort of bonus points?

#3 Butler goes down, 16-9. Yikes. Apparently he pinned this same guy in the 1st period the last time they wrestled.

Don't follow wrestling much...is it still possible for Mizzou to win a national title with so many going down this early??

#14 Miklus with a 15-6 win.

Probably not. Needed Butler and Manley to AA at least. Penn State isn't losing any either. They are going to run away with it.
