Thinking about going there for a bachelor party weekend. Been to Memphis, New Orleans, and Nashville already this year for them so thinking about doing something a little more low key. Also no one in my group has ever been. Any suggestions on cabins or hotels? Bars?

The last time I was there it was a retirement community. If you wanted to eat after 5:00 pm you had to drive to Ash Flat. The town has less than 800 people and I don't remember it having a bar or cabins.
Pretty place and hilly but I don't see why anyone would want to have a bachelor party there.

Ah hell. I thought people went and floated the river during the day then partied at night. Maybe I'm confusing places

Bad idea if you're under 50

I've been on two bachelor parties there. Booked everything (cabins and canoes) through Southfork resort. It's a completely different bachelor party experience from New Orleans. There aren't any bars or decent restaurants around so we brought food and alcohol. There are a good bit of cabins around, so we ended up meeting and hanging out with some random folks. Also, Southfork will pretty much let you do as you please.

I mean you can bus strippers in, assuming they can find the place. Took ours 2.5 hours to find the place.

I'm going to Google and find out where that is.. BRB.
ETA: Wikipedia says Spring River. Killz used to post about floating the Spring all the time.
I'd have to drive past two great floating rivers at least, to get there so I have never been. I have always kinda wanted to see the Mammoth Spring, though.

ex-gf grandparents have a cabin out there on the spring.
Would not be a place I'd consider for a bachelor party. You can do some boozing in Mtn. Home further up the road where the Buffalo River is closer and you've got Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes.
Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River might be better options than Hardy too.

Memphis, New Orleans, Nashville, and then Hardy, Arkansas. Talk about different ends of the spectrum. You know the population in Hardy is 700 I think. Lol.

No I've never been. I just thought going somewhere and floatin the river at day then going to a club at night would be fun. Obviously I heard wrong

Depending on the time of year the spring river can be one huge party or a very boring time.
Right now I doubt it'd be that much fun, summer months when the drunken bikini's come out it's much better.
