Looking at the quote, that's not what he did at all.
It looked like h couldn't remember Tabor's name, so when he said "that Florida cornerback" he knew he'd need to specify that he wasn't speaking of VH3. He didn't "go out of his way" to call him out.

Exactly. He made it a point to state that it wasn't VH3.
Not in a negative way. But it a way of saying "VH3 didn't cover me it was the other guy on the team"
