No one even knew about Sandusky in the media because Shultz and Gary were masters of covering stuff up. It was a failure in the office, not the community.
And we don't exactly have world-class journalists working in Centre County anyway. The local news is a very depressing thing to watch

Wasn't that woman who ended up doing most of the work on the Sandusky case from some paper outside of Happy Valley? It always seemed like the local media was half-assing it to me. Plus, that place was basically a JoePa cult.
