You Koolaid chuggers need to put down the glass. I didn't say he was a bad coach or bad hire. I just am tired of our assistants constantly leaving

I see a lot of turnover in the industry I'm in. People move around to make a few extra bucks all the time. Good for them. I don't blame them one bit. It's the only way to move up sometimes

However from the company perspective, it is the people that actually stay in one place for more than five minutes that actually bring value. Every hot new fresh face is cheered and we roll out the red carpet. But who really cares if they don't produce anything that lasts

I don't see a coach taking two months to find the bathroom and several months establishing connections, etc as a good investment for us. It's a good investment in their careers for them to grow.

Meanwhile we just turn around and retrain someone else the next year. What's the point in hiring good or bad people if by the time we see their results (which actually takes more than a year), they are updating their CV?

Why do we always hear "so and so QB was under 5 OCs in 5 years" as an excuse for poor play? Does anyone ever say "so and so QB was under 5 OCs in 5 years, but each OC became a HC so this kid is good as a result"

In a perfect world, how long should our football assistant coaches be at Arkansas before moving to greener pastures?
