You don't know how happy we are to be here also. I was a Senior when the SWC imploded and there were very strong rumors that LSU had sponsored us to go to the SEC. Our campus would have erupted had that happened. Instead, it was a major let down when we ended up being the 12th school to be on board for the XII. It was a shotgun marriage. We never fit in culturally with those Yankee (yes, you Missouri) schools in the old Big 8 and had very little history playing any of them on a regular basis. Not at all like we had with LSU and Arkansas.

When we finally were able to join the SEC, it felt like we finally came home. And I'm proud to say that my daughter will never know a time when A&M wasn't in the SEC, even if it means not playing tu anymore.
