So what are the thoughts on Duke whenever he is signed, either as an undrafted free agent or through the draft? I think he has the physical tools to make some money in the NFL if he can get his mind right. Those physical tools won't translate to a great combine performance but the combine is nothing more than a dog and pony show for the scouts.

If he fricks up in the league(which is likely given his history of behavioral problems), others will be quick to remind us that he is the screw-up from Auburn, so I guess if he does well, we should count him as an Auburn guy as well ?

Well that's the thing, right?

The NFL is a business. And Williams will be playing against the best in the world and GM's aren't going to pay him good money to be a basket-case and *not* produce. They'll sometimes put up with basket-cases, but you'd damn well better be one of the best players in the league if you want it to work out that way.

he did play at Auburn so its up to our discretion whether or not we do claim him. If he does well, he's was ours. If he sucks, we never wanted that fricker on the team anyhow.

He may be a late round draft pick at best imo. Probably free agency, but i think a team will take the risk for a possession receiver late.
