Had never heard this story before:

-The year was 1986
-A family was about to lose their 3rd generation family farm near Waynesboro, Georgia

-Day of the sale, Leonard Hill the III sent his wife to the store
-Neatly stacked his life insurance policy papers beside him
-And shot himself in the head
-In hopes his family could use the insurance payout to save the farm

-It doesn’t work that way though
-And now the tragedy is compounded exponentially
-Because they’re still gonna lose the farm

-The story makes national news though.
-And eventually a multi-millionaire in new york hears about it.
-Is moved deeply by the story and reaches out to the family to help…

-The widow Mrs. Hill didn’t believe it was actually him when she answered the phone.
-He said, “Herschel Walker works for me” to try and convince her that he was who he said he was.

-Long story short, he makes a large donation and arranges to help the family manage the debt.

-And The Farm Is Saved

The new york millionaire's name was Donald Trump.

Heard that story a long time ago. Good to hear stories like this. I now challenge someone to find a story like that about Hillary Clinton.

That's a pretty cool story, never heard it either. Good for trump.

Also, I hope I'm not the only one who originally read

quote:

Leonard Hill the III

As Leonard Hill the ill. I thought man this dude must have been frickin ballin to be a farmer and have that nickname.

I bet Bernie would have plenty of these if he had billions. Not saying I'm gonna vote for him, but he's a better "person" than anyone else running.

Bernie is just as evil as all the rest of the candidates.

Generosity with OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY is not 'generosity'. It's theft. His entire platform is immoral and criminal.

If you think Bernie and Hilary are the same level of evil, then you're extremely disconnected

Doesn't matter if one openly knows that they're evil and one is delusional and naieve enough not to comprehend and realize that he's evil.

Evil is evil.

Well, from what I've seen and heard out of him his entire career he's the most honest candidate up there. Politico backs that. I believe he truly wants to help people using wealthy people's money, while delusional, I think that's what he truly believes. I also feel Hilary is the devil incarnate. Sanders doesn't apologize for what he is, a self described democratic socialist. He runs under no hidden agenda and has come out from the start saying the same message of his intentions. Plenty if people including me think Bernie is a bit delusional, but if anything you cannot deny he's been honest.

This is in no way an endorsement of sanders, I also feel trump is a more honest candidate even though he says some kookie shite too.

I'll agree, but let's be honest about Trump. If you want the federal government to completely take over the healthcare system you're evil, or insanely stupid, too.

Of course. I never said Trump wasn't evil. I said all the candidates are evil.

I just thought the Trump story was interesting.

Tough crowd. I'm not sure any of them are "evil". ISIS burning people alive is evil. Charlie Manson is evil. Hilary and Trump are just being politicians. Even though Trump has not been running for office his whole life he's a truly skilled politician. Bernie seems like the most sincere to me, but that doesn't make him qualified to be president. I don't think anyone running is qualified though. We fricked.

Charles Manson killed nine people.

As just one example (of many) for a comparison.......as an annointed ruler in the u.s. senate, Hillary Clinton supported the killing and maiming of hundreds of thousands of humans in the most idiotic and psychotic invasion/occupation of U.S. history...the war in Iraq. Not to mention all the other ongoing unintended horrific consequences/ramifications/suffering Europe and the middle east and the rest continue to suffer because of it.

Accordingly, you could argue that Hillary Clinton and 99.999999% of the rest of the political class are actually thousands of times more evil than Charles Manson definitely is. It's just simple math.

As much as I disagree with Trump on a number of important issues (bank bailouts, govt. healthcare, whatever stance on abortion and gun control he's adopted this week, etc.) I have to admit the possibility of a general election where the democrat (Hillary) supported the Iraq War and the republican (Trump) opposed it is very interesting.

By that logic all the people who voted for Bush second term are evil too then.

Jeff, on a different note, are you conflicted in your love affair with Trump? I get this feeling that deep down conservatives know he's not one of them, but that they just want to blow it all up so bad they're willing to vote for a fast-talking pro-choice New Yorker. Is that what's going on?

Agree. Up is down. Black is white. And the whole poodle-parade has gone completely into the Twilight Zone this election cycle. And it's glorious. A soon-to-be convicted felon vs the host of Celebrity Apprentice!

Will be interesting to see if the war interests that have hijacked and controlled the republican party for so long will actually really allow Trump to have the nomination though. Even if he wins it outright. Most likely they have some dirty tricks up their sleeves..
