Hirohito reigned over Japan from December 25, 1926 –
January 7, 1989.

Hirohito is much like Queen Elizabeth figure head. They deposed him of his power after WW2, you know this. That is what I thought you meant.

Tojo, was de facto President and a tyrant who is despised much like Lavall is in France or Quisling is in Scandanavia.
