Well, if you want to catch crappie (a lot of fun btw), they will be doing their thing pretty soon in coves near the headwaters of any lake you find in Arkansas. If you like the Ozarks and you wanna fish it for crappie, Beaver Lake is pretty nice. They will be spawning sometime in March. Small mouth can be found in large numbers in pretty much any of the navigable mountain streams around here. Lots to choose from. And there is good trout fishing along the White River below any of the four dams.
