If they don't want to leave Starkeville so be it.
Would have loved to see him playing in the Red and blue.
AJ is the bomb, and he knew where his best opportunities would lie.
Wish you were here and not there.

First, there was stunned silence, and then there was a mass exodus from Ole Miss' war room after Jeffery Simmons announced for Miss. State.
SouthOfHere was right. Simmons fricking strung this staff out and they never even suspected they were getting played.
That's fricking sad. frick whoever orchestrated that underhanded bullshite.

I'm legit melting though, because Simmons in our defensive line up, with DJ, Breeland, Haynes, and the other newcomers would have been championship level

His dad is pro-Ole Miss according to the Twitterverse but then again no one knows anything anymore.

Sounds like the rumor was true and the staff was expecting Simmons to commit. He was trolling as MSU fans said he would months ago.

It looks like he just wants to follow in the footsteps of other Bulldog greats on the d-line such as Quay Evans, Nick James and Chris Jones. Best of luck to the young man.
James is still here, and doing well. Pro Football Focus has Jones projected as the #12 overall draft pick to the Saints. And I think you're forgetting Fletcher Cox, Pernell McPhee, Josh Boyd, and Preston Smith. Our staff has a hell of a record with DL's, don't be dumb.

Eh I'd go with lucky rather than right. He still has an IQ of 46 so all is well.

Simmons is obviously a high-character guy.
I'm strangely at peace with not signing him now.

I don't believe that. It was not a Leo situation. Simmons is a good kid that decided to stay home.

I find that hard to believe.

It's pretty clear he's nothing but a stand-up guy full of moral fiber.

Tony Hughes did us one last solid on the way out the door.

Well he definitely fooled our staff right up to the second he announced.
