A couple things stick out to me:
#1 - ESPN clearly has an Alabama bias. I'm not sure who's running the show over there, but I'd be willing to bet they have some connection to Alabama. Maybe Alabama fans are the highest number of "IN" subscribers.
#2 - ESPN's recruiting rankings, are just plain weird, and they love the shite out of players from the states of Texas and Florida. Lots of outliers in those lists. Most notably, their rankings of Miami and Clemson in 2008, Florida State in 2012, & Florida and Florida State in 2013.

Conveniently left out 2007, Carolina had #4 in the nation for ESPN.

I left out 2007 because Bama didn't have their first top ranked recruiting class from the "biased media" until 2008. This thread was started to point out ESPN's overall shittiness when it comes to recruiting rankings.
