So Freeze has exceeded expectations every year.
I know I know. It's not that hard when it's Ole Miss

So Freeze has exceeded expectations every year.
So, really, once.

And that doesn't even include his first 2 years when he also exceeded expectations (because predicted to finish 60th and finishing 38th doesn't show up on a Top 25 poll, obviously).

LSU has certainly been overrated a lot lately, but 2012 should have some kind of asterisk. I think we started #1 in one poll and #3 in another, then Mathieu was kicked off the team shortly thereafter. We were still super talented that year, though. But he was by far our best player, and honestly kind of a generational player.

Disagree, I think he exceeded expectations more the first 2 years than the last 2.

I agree. I think 2013 would show up if all teams receiving votes were counted. 2012 Ole Miss was nowhere near good enough to be ranked, but probably exceeded expectations by 2-3 wins.

So where's the value in this type of analysis?
If a team isn't predicted to do anything for 5 years, and doesn't - except for one year where they finish top-5, they get a +20 ranking. Who cares? All it says is the pollsters got it wrong one year.
After all, how many times have I read on this board that they ought to 'do away with' pre-season polls because of how worthless they are?

Hard to value it for teams that are consistently ranked in the Top 5 like Alabama, much like the "recruiting ranking vs final ranking" stat that people love using. There is literally no way for someone like Alabama to be any better than a 1 to 1, so there is no way for them to "win" that sort of argument.

Arkansas hasn't finished any of the last 5 seasons ranked.
Now, you did start 2015 ranked, so you went from 20 to U/R in 2015. That's it.

The gross sum is meaningless. The five year results give a snapshot of who tends to be overrated, underrated.
UGA fans are probably happy he limited it to the SECW

Exactly.
Also this is based on opinions of people whose opinions garner no respect in the first place. If they did, we wouldn't have implemented the playoff system.

So 2 of 5 is "regularly"?
