LITTLE ROCK — The Poultry Federation President Marvin Childers of Little Rock has been elected president of the State Poultry Executives Association, the federation said Friday.

Childers has been president of The Poultry Federation, which represents the poultry and egg industry in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, since January 2007. The State Poultry Executives Association elected Childers to a two-year term as its president during its annual meeting at the International Production and Processing Expo in Atlanta on Wednesday.

Childers served as the association’s vice president in 2014 and 2015. A lawyer, he served as a member of the state House of Representatives from 2001 to 2006.

The association is made up of poultry industry leaders from 26 states.

I know him. I think he spent most of his time in NE Arkansas. I didn't know about the poultry connection until this post though.
