So you believe that a gymnastics program could receive major penalties because a rouge equestrian coach racked up 25 rules violations?

That's not what happened. There are 3 sports, all with violations. That's the issue.

You would be right if it was A sport. You don't punish football for basketball. But you have football, basketball, and track and field.

Throw into that:

1- the great class of 2013. Flags raised.. Either the NCAA was investigating already, or they decided to at that point. If they were, as many suggested, then there's a MASSIVE issue.

2- Aug 2013.... NCAA interviews several players at different universities about their recruitment by Ole Miss.

3- Dec 2013, via information found, the NCAA launches a ULL investigation... one that Ole Miss had 2 sets of Attorneys at..

4- While still under investigation, more things come to light that are new.

That's a lack of control. Does that mean the NCAA will give you LOIC? No. But there is noway Ole Miss gets off. This isn't a phone call that was made one minute late into the dead period.

Well Mathew, since I speculate:

Pro Ole Miss writer... "multiple violations across 3 sports"

quote:

See the link above. It listed the dates per your AD.

quote:

2- Aug 2013.... NCAA interviews several players at different universities about their recruitment by Ole Miss.

NCAA interviews Chris Jones on Ole Miss recruitment

quote:

3- Dec 2013, via information found, the NCAA launches a ULL investigation... one that Ole Miss had 2 sets of Attorneys at..

Dates listed here: "Since Dec 2013"

Also states:

quote:

On Dec 16th 2013, enforcement staff and legal council for Ole Miss interviewed Saunders and (redacted name) concerning events that occurred while Saunders was employed by Ole Miss and (redacted name) was being recruited by Ole Miss.

If you want more.. just read. Also, Ole Miss reps (lawyers) and the enforcement staff interviewed Crager, the lady fixing the ACT tests. ULL was very specfic. (redacted name) and 4 ULL players. That redacted name is an ole miss player.

quote:

4- While still under investigation, more things come to light that are new.

Do I really need to link to Tunsil?

Nothing about that is speculation.

quote:

That's a lack of control.

This isn't either..

NCAA USC LOIC.. Involved football, Basketball, and tenis

quote:

The violations span almost four years

Let's see.... 2010-2015 for Ole Miss is how long?

quote:

The findings in this case include a lack of institutional control, impermissible inducements, extra benefits, exceeding coach staff limits, and unethical conduct by an assistant football coach.

It's not speculation. In fact, it's kind of worse because while under investigation, Ole Miss was caught again.

They may not issue a LOIC... but it's well within the history of the previous NCAA staff. The NEW staff is in place due to the Miami screw up. He's looking to clear the name of the NCAA.
