If Duke came in Vanderbilt would have to seriously step up their game which Vandy fans would probably appreciate. Right now, their administration can just sit back and say we're the academic school but Duke would challenge that and have a better AD. Kentucky, OTOH, would be mad but I think a lot of fans would enjoy seeing that as an annual matchup.

UK would love to be in the same conference as Duke. We've petitioned them to play us annually for decades.
They refuse. They couldn't dodge us in conference play, however.
I doubt we'll ever get a series with them before Krzyzewski retires. After that Duke will decline strongly and won't be worth the effort.
Krzyzewski is Duke.
