I figured this thread was more of individual opinion.
I agree, it is, but those highest accomplishments (most of them very recent at the same place he is currently coaching) certainly influence my opinion of him. I guess that was kind of my point. He is great at recruiting but he also routinely takes those recruits to the Final Four.

I've just always been down on Cal because I think he's just that bad in terms of game plan and in-game strategy/adjustments. But, of course, when you have that many good players, it's hard to have too much structure and continuity, because all those dudes want to show out. I guess it's a balancing act between letting them play freely and having some control.
It always makes me think of how good that 2012 team must have been to actually follow through and win it all. Obviously, his teams almost always make deep runs, so it's unfair to say they always choke in big games.
His recruiting and motivation is pretty much second to none. He's had the most talented team in the country in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2015. Just speaks to how good he is at bringing in players.
