every coach does this. other than spurrier, i can't think of any coach that doesn't talk up their opponents

Agree, most do, but Saban goes out of his way to talk about other programs, teams and coaches with respect all season and offseason. It's probably close to the norm, but it's just one of those things that seems to get lost in the shuffle with him because of the persona of him being the devil.
