Whoa. It is still settling in.
I have been watching his 2013 stuff recently, and it is still surreal (his college career here).
I remember knowing he would be pretty good, but nobody expected what he became and him leading the SEC historically, in certain stats.

Seeing this team and his career as a student has been one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed. I don't know how previous students survived through 4 win seasons

I gave him a high five at Bin 612 when he was a true freshman. No one else at the bar knew who he was at that point. He flashed that million dollar smile. Greatest moment of my life.

Lots of whiskey. A decent basketball team. And a few victories to celebrate. Florida. Bama. Those got us through the hard times.

When I was a student I don't think we ever lost the egg bowl, that helped.
That, and I didn't care about sports outside of combat sports.

I graduated in 2010 and I felt that way about Dixon's career. He's not even in the same category as Dak, but I know exactly what you mean about following a player through his entire career as a student. Dixon will probably always be my favorite Dawg.

We went to a bowl in 07 while I was there and that was my senior year. We did have a bad arse basketball team though.
