Everyone associated with the team deserves criticism for the last 8 games. UF was 4-4 and is damn lucky DAMN LUCKY not to have been 2-6.
That being said, it shouldn't have any bearing on next year.
Mac gets a pass for year 1 regardless, just like any other coach, but especially when you lose your only QB on a weak offense midseason.

Losing a QB isn't always crippling, but with our situation it just happened to be.
He gets another couple of years because, well, dude won the muthafuggin' East.
Even if the East is down, we're way further down.
