Heres some stats to sprinkle on your morning cereal:
UM only punted once all game.
UM had balance with run/pass yards and put on a clinic against what is our strength...the DL. Khairi Clark was abused all game long during his too frequent rotation on the DL. It wasnt a coincidence that UM kept running to their left side where Clark was.
UF had a grand total of 28 freaking yds of offense in second half after posting 200+ yds in first frame. Once they were up by two scores it was over and our coaches and UMs coaches both knew we would have to throw away the gameplan and throw more ...not that we did well running in the first half except for Treons runs.
This was the first game all year that our defense didnt get many stops behind the line of scrimmage...penetration was minimal. The defense was manhandled...we were outcoached, out hustled and effort was missing from most players...except Tabor, Morrison, Davis and a few others.
Good news is that Clark, Bryan, Holley are young and will improve or at least I hope so.
BTW what a coincidence that Hardin tweaked his ankle...I aint buying it....and if you believe that I have underwater land I wanna sell you.
All we can hope for is a team next year that plays hard all year long and doesnt fade later in the year. That would be an alarming trend.
