Yep, and since 1998 only two of those teams has won or even played for a national championship. I'll agree that perhaps "any" was a bit strong, and nine wins is pretty good for some programs. A "pretty good" season from a mediocre program is still mediocre to me.

When you're in the middle of the pack. I don't tend to look at single seasons as a way to gauge it, because honestly anyone can have a good year, or a bad year.
For SEC football, that means this, btw I leave out Texas A&M and Mizzou just cause they haven't been in the SEC long enough.
