His best game. 24/29 271 yards 4 tds. look at the highlights, had some good throws but most of the yards came after the catch because the WRs made plays blocking down the field.

vs Tenn he was 23/42 283 yards 2 td's 1 int.

Yeah we could never duplicate these stats. Again, good player but stop acting like hes the 2nd coming.

Grier was clutch. That was his biggest asset and ultimately why people's perceptions of him as a QB are a bit out of sync with his actual numbers. That said, you can get guys like Tyler Bray who put up the prettiest numbers ever but are the opposite of clutch when it matters. If I had to choose between a more talented guy who puts up huge numbers but isn't clutch then I'd take a guy like Casey Clausen or even Grier over him because winning is ultimately the goal not pretty stats.

As for Grier, I mentioned there was strong indication he was transferring back during the Bama game (I was told back then that there was behind the scenes stuff with his dad having a lot conflict with the administration and he expected Grier to leave).

The same guy who told me that there was a very strong chance he'd transfer said that Grier has bigger problems than football right now involving substance abuse and apparently there's a lot of things that have taken place that were crazy incidents that have been kept out of the public. Let's just say that if you imagine the flakiest QB possible and consider that dude unstable then what Grier has on his hands right now is probably just as bad or worse.

tl;dr - He's needs to get some personal issues/substance abuse issues under control. I wish him luck and hope he succeeds at that so he'll a get a second chance at pursuing his dreams. Lord knows that's not an easy path.

Also, he may need to break free from his dad a bit. From what I've heard, he's butted heads and been one of those parents who is too involved for his son's or anyone else's own good.
