I guess we should also throw in any UF qb into the mix, especially those 90s Spurrier teams
That's fair, but I also believe that where they landed had something to do with their success or lack of. Wuerffel to the Saints at that point in time, kid never stood a chance.
I believe for QBs its all about circumstance for the most part. Gotta have the right fit as far as system and HC ect to be successful.

One of the main reasons many HS teams run the offense and it's simplicity is also one the big reasons that air raid QB's have such a difficult time in the NFL.

That and they are mostly sub players. None of them turned down Bama,ND ect to play at Wazzou,TT and Cal.
Id like to see a 5 star guy play in the system, just to see what he could do. If a reg joe can put up those numbers......

Can't get any more 5 star than Tim Couch.Could've gone wherever he wanted out of HS.Mumme pretty much ran the air raid at UK.
I get your point though.Im thinking maybe Sam Bradford has had the most NFL success but he wasn't a big time prospect coming out of HS.

Couch was a big prospect, but I also think the fact he was drafted by the Browns had a hand in his demise.

Cam Newton played in a system but was just such a freak of an athlete and prospect it didn't matter. Remember him talking about Auburn's offensive play calls on Grudens wb camp....was pretty comical how simplistic it was.
