How many of those all purpose yards came from catching the ball in the end zone and running it out to be tackled. Now if he was Evan Berry-ish, sure I would say it was a plus........but come one, he got many of those KO yards before the kicking team got down the field. That shouldn't count for that much.

Then knock off his return yards. He still has more yards from scrimmage than anyone else.

When you knock off his return yards, his stats, while more than anyone else, look MUCH less impressive:

Christian McCaffrey (minus kick/punt yardage):
2,387 all-purpose yards (1,847 rushing, 540 receiving)
12 Total TDs

Derrick Henry
2,083 all-purpose yards (1,986 rushing, 97 receiving)
23 Total TDs (all rushing)

When you look at their yards from scrimmage, the gap between them shrinks DRAMATICALLY. McCaffrey still has a 300-yard advantage but Henry has him by 11 touchdowns.
