That is another reason UT went run-heavy. They were often down to 4 or 5 healthy receivers total this season. Pig Howard was dismissed, Croom was recovering from knee surgery and missed the whole season and North has only played in a few games (and was limited by injury in them). Inconsistent QB accuracy and thin WR corps really hurt the staff's confidence in the passing game.

Preston Williams and Jennings spent a lot of time on the injured list as well. Preston was the really disappointing one.
He was really coming into his own early in the season.
