no byes... still has elements of being unfair with records and competition and such... Top 8 should go, 5 power conference champions and 3 at large selected by BCS formula and human voting weighted evenly. Could even drop one game from power 5 or better yet have a cross conference challenge involving the power 5...one game each year chosen by lottery pick.
