this thread is surprisingly (to me, anyway) ignored...are yall hearing anything your way? By all accounts it looks like he's our guy, I figured there'd be some scuttlebutt on here about it.

Just rumors? Worried? DGAS?

Not worried but I do care. Sort of, it is time grasshopper. Just read a little blurb that he is not entertaining any talk of other coaching opportunities. Saban will find a good replacement if and when it happens but KS certainly has been special.

I feel that the less you hear the better GA's chances of landing Kirby. He has been a great D.C. and will be missed, but people that that don't want people they have associated with succeed are on borrowed time for their success. Saban is such a CEO type that I would be surprised if he hasn't had at least two names to replace Kirby for at least the last three years. That doesn't mean those names haven't changed over time. Happy for Kirby either way.

Honestly, I am hoping that UGA fricks this up and USCe comes out the winner. Then we can poach Kirby from them whenever Saban retires.

Wouldn't you rather have Mullen instead?

Radi Nabulsi was on a local sports talk radio show and, according to his sources (maybe a booster?), Kirby had agreed in principal but hasn't signed anything...he thought it was about 95% done...the host of the show had also said that he'd heard something similar...take it for what it's worth though...
