I know we're all about every scrap of info that's out there, but frick you pieces of shite that post random BS with no supporting evidence, no links, no nothing. 90% of the time any one of us says "...hearing that..." you just read it from some other shithead who wrote "...hearing that...".

I think just because there is no official word, people are assuming that to mean he is waffling.
With Bama playing in the SECCG, there is going to be a dark period here. That's just the way it has to be. Unfortunately, people tend to fill that sort of silence with their own thoughts.
If UGA AD and GM want to retain any shred of respect, it will get done. They may be incompetent at times, but I trust them to be self preservationists above all else.
