Timing means a lot, and your fanbase wants to jump in the middle of the most competitive hiring offseason in years.
And I have a feeling they're going to really, really regret it. There are a lot of people on the outside who think Miles needs at least another season. You risk tearing down any goodwill you've built up by getting rid of him in this fashion.

He's had 4 seasons since 2011, and all he's demonstrated is that he won't change his system or style at all. Same input, same output. Thinking otherwise is crazy.
