The reality is that without legendary coaches, Alabama is nothing. Unless you can continue to get them (which is a possibility considering the lengths to which Bama fans will go to have a good college football team) you really are a slightly above average program.

In other words, LSU, A&M, Florida, and UGA are all better positioned for long-term success than Bama. Recruits today don't give a frick about "tradition".

And yet, over a hundred years of college football and none have managed to do so.

Please. You don't have a lot of data to back this one up, do you?

We've been flush with legendary coaches. The one thing they all have in common is Alabama.
