re: What makes the Iron Bowl so contentious?

We live here in Bham as well and have one in college and another soon to be on the way. The admission requirements and scholarship opportunities are very different between the two schools. I don't know that I would have made it into Auburn with today's requirements. I had the ACT scores, but not the GPA.

There's a very large Auburn contingent at my youngest kid's high school. I'd say well over half of the kids going to college will go to Auburn. Its crazy.
