Qbing is very cyclical as well. The years where there seems to be "great" Qbs are years where there is multiple guys who have started for several years. Mett, Murray, and AJ all had started multiple years. Dak and Brandon Allen have as well. This year, you have a lot of first year starters - unfortunately for some of those teams, they'll be in same position next year, i.e. Bama and UGA.
