I think there is a lot of history in this country which completely flies in the face of what you are suggesting.
Folks don't need to "go to Africa, Central America, or the Middle East" to experience these things. There is ample evidence from the last few years alone that we do not live in a post-racial society. I find it interesting how any suggestion to the contrary gets a lot of southern white guys frothing at the mouth...

Maybe you can address their various grievances then, and take apart their claims of being discriminated against, since they have brought examples of that forward.

You've never been to any of those parts of the world, have you? Take a visit and then come back and try to have an intelligent discussion with those of use who have lived there.
