It's going to be difficult, to be quite honest. If Treon doesn't man up in the next few weeks we may not win that one.

Defense will win the game for us at home....just have to take care of the ball. But I agree Treon needs to be quicker throwing passes and stay in pocket more and not give away his tendencies before snaps....defenses can read him like a book.

We will have a lot of recruits on the sidelines in what should be a LOUD Swamp to enjoy.

I think he'll calm down in the next few weeks. Amazing we can make Vanderbilt look like the Bears but tear up LSU with no problem.

Could...could it be that maybe Vanderbilt is just a legitimate defense even after being blown out 34 - 0?

Oh, nevermind, just read the review:

5 yard drive. (Off of a turnover.)

Field goal.

12 yard drive. (Off of a turnover.)

55 interception return.

36 yard drive. (Off of a turnover on downs I think.)

So, maybe Vanderbilt actually has a decent defense.

Straw...I didnnt watch any of the 34-0 loss that Houston handed to VU...but from what I have read...VU just suffered some early bad breaks on offense and special teams early in the game and it got to be too much but VU still managed to hold Houston to very few yards of offense. But of course the peanut gallery on the Rant will point that score out as proof we are not good.

Speaking of not being good VU held us to under 100 yds of rushing yardage...pathetic. We started out game with some good runs and then they adjusted and then couldnt buy first downs...I think we punted 5 or 6 times and made them punt 10 times...but our punt total might have been more if we hadnt been so generous with turnovers.

Actually Vanderbilt did surprisingly well for having so many turnovers. The longest touchdown drive was only 35 yards (out of four touchdowns).

That being said, our rushing attack just isn't there, nor will it be there until our line gets better and, well, we develop a passing attack.
