After watching the 2nd half, I really liked the way Phillips played. By far the best PG on the team. Hope it transitions to real games. 2nd best PG on the team, and I was actually surprised at how much he played, is walk on Barton. Isabel and Clark can handle the ball if necessary but neither are really true PG's.
Goes without saying that Walton was impressive. Perfect from the field and 3 is impressive even if no one is guarding you. Van Leer's numbers were solid but man they were quiet points. I only recall his name a couple of times even with looking for him.
Puryear was completely unimpressive. Just another Torren Jones or Allen. Game was too fast for him and he seemed out of control and turned the ball over. He'll be a serviceable role player but unless he develops a lot, I don't see much more. Gant was also unimpressive, and I was a huge Gant fan going into the year last year. Thought he'd be our best freshman.
Clark was Clark. Not great. Not bad. Missed a lot of shots.
Payne didn't really stand out to me so not much to think about him. Woods is ok but not big.
At least in one exhibition game, the two best players IMO were Phillips and Walton.

I'm not seeing what you see in Barton. The offense bogged down when he came in, in The first half.
Clark and Isabel are more of the new age point guards, in that they are score first guys.
After the game KA said he wants to get down to a 9 man rotation. My guess is that will be Clark, Isabel, Phillips, wright, Walton, Puryear, Gant, Woods, & Rosburg. With maybe anoth 15 minutes for CVL/Payne/Allen to get based on situational issues like fouls, injuries, or game specific.

I've also heard he was the only bright spot in the Creighton game.
