Based on what example?
First, UGA has NEVER gone with an established, big name coach in the past. Without that, I don't ever recall any team changing and established head coach and maintaining a strong recruiting class. They typically lose many of their major recruits. Example? Look what happened to USC e when Spurrier even HINTED at leaving after 2 or three more years.
Is that example good enough? Remember, most of you guys have labled UGA a dumpster fire. How many major recruits want to go to a dumpster fire that just hired a former assistant coach? I suspect if Richt goes, Pruitt and Schottenheimer will be gone, too. (I think Pruitt will be gone after this year, regardless of Richt staying or not) How many of our recruits will still come here....reports are out that eason is already opening up his recruitment due to all the turmoil.
